Robb, Don. Ox, House, Stick: the History of our Alphabet. Charlesbridge: 2007. ISBN: 9781570916090.
At the beginning of the book, it talks about how people communicate and about pictures. Then comes a little history about each letter. This book also has many symbols for words and ancient alphabet.
I think this book is very creative and kid-friendly. It also has symbols which are very helpful. I think the ages that would like to read this book are 5th-8th grades. This book would be good for a book report, or something like that.
