When ships are being sunk by an unknown creature, scientist Peirre Aronnax, along with his servant Consiel and the harpooner Ned Land, set out after the creature, but fall into an unforgettable adventure. 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea is a book with a gripping plot and well-drawn pictures. Because of the moderately difficult words I recommend this for grades 3 and up.
