This book is about different oceans, from small to large. It talks about the 7 different continents: Asia, Africa, North America, South America, Antarctica, Europe and Australia/Oceania. It tells you about the countries and also the government in South Africa. Explore South Africa talks about the 4 directions: North, South, East, and West; and about the North and South Poles. It tells you about the different climates in South Africa. It also talks about mountains and different islands, and other bodies of water. It talks about tropical rain forests and the animals that live there. It shows grassland areas, and dry deserts. It talks a little about towns and cities. It also talks about the people, and life, growing food, and nature, culture, games, carnivals, and postcards.

I am not really excited about the book very much. It is kind of childish. It has good pictures and descriptions. I would recommend this to somebody doing a report on South Africa.
