In the story Piper, Piper's mother used to always say to him when he was a puppy, "Always obey your master, always look both ways before crossing the street, and always help anyone in danger." Mr. Jones takes Piper home, and treats him badly. I think this book is sad. I recommend Piper for grades 1 through 3.
