This book is about three children who are given extraordinary powers and try to defeat the evil emperor, but learn that working together is the key to success. It was written by Maria Celeste Arraras and illustrated by Pablo Raimondi. The Magic Cane was published in 2007 by Orchard Books. My opinion on The Magic Cane was that I thought that is was very good and hard to put down when reading it. I like how it teaches kids that love overpowers greed and hate, and that you should always work together because when you do you will succeed. I recommend this book to all kids 4th to 6th grade because of some hard words, the excitement, and adventure.
