Beake, Lesley. Littlewood, Karin. Home Now. Charlesbridge: 2007. ISBN: 9781580891622.
This fictional book is about a little girl named Sieta who is taken far away from her parents, who are sick, to live with her Aunty. She has so many memories of her old home, but she lives in a new place which she calls home now. One day her teacher takes her to an elephant park and Sieta meets a baby elephant who she befriends and relates to. Sieta's mind isn't filled with sad memories anymore and she begins to get used to home now.
I recommend this book for first through third graders because the book is about a younger girl and it is a cute story that shows how Sieta develops and gets through a rough time.
