Marvelous Mattie: How Margaret E. Knight Became an Inventor

McCully, Emily Arnold. Marvelous Mattie: How Margaret E. Knight became an Inventor. Farrar Straus Giroux: 2006. Ages 9-13.

This book was about how Margaret E. Knight became an inventor. It was very fascinating when they told about Margaret being an inventor even as a child. It also shows that Margaret went through many struggles being a women inventor. I think many people would enjoy this intriguing book. There were many fabulous and colorful illustrations in this book. The artwork is very detailed and interesting. They are the kind of drawings you could study and look at for a very long time. I would definitely recommend this book to other children. I think kids ages 11-14 would really enjoy this book. Children who are interested in reading about history would love this book.
