The King's Chorus

Hayward, Linda. The King's Chorus. Illustrated by Jennifer P. Goldfinger. Clarion Books: 2006. Ages 5-12.

Kadoodle was a rooster who thought he was king of the barnyard. So he crowed whenever he felt like it. Honketta is fed up with it so she tells him about the Kings Chorus, who crow at daybreak. The illustrations were fantastic!! They were bright which fits very well with the story. I loved the paintings. I think children in around 3rd grade would like this book. It is a wonderful story with a fantastic plot.
