Squirt is a book about blood. It may sound gross but it is quite interesting. Not only is it about blood, but other important organs in your body. The story is non-fiction. Trudee Romanek, the author, makes the book interesting by adding fun little activities and facts to parts of the book. She makes reading about blood interesting by explaining things very easily. The book does have some big words but Romanek gives you a pronunciation right by the words. Rose Cowles adds great illustrations and gives you a good description of what Romanek is writing about. I really enjoyed this book. The vibrant illustrations and choice of words kept me reading. I would recommend this book to people the ages of 10 and up.
