Chaconas, Dori. Dancing with Katya. Illustrated by Constance R. Bergum. Peachtree Publishers: 2006. Ages 9 to 12.
Dancing with Katya is about a young girl named Katya who loved to dance with her sister. When Katya gets sick, she becomes crippled. She has a struggle trying to walk. How will she ever learn to dance when she can not walk? Even though there are drawings, it feels like you are in the book. The art is done in water colors which makes it look beautiful. I loved the book. I would recommend this book to anyone who loves to enjoy a good story. I would recommend this book for ages 9 to 12.
