Lunge-Larsen, Lise. Noah's Mittens. Illustrated by Matthew Trueman. Houghton Mifflin: 2006. ISBN: 0-618-32950-1. Ages 3 to 7.
This story is about Noah, a biblical character, and his story of the ark. This story also talks about the suffering sheep whose wool turned into thick, hard cloth. Noah used the wool to make winter clothing for his family. The author really did not use onomatopoeia. His interjections were like, "my goodness" or "there soft wool had disappeared!". The artist's style is 3-D. The illustrations are made by pencil, acrylic, and collage with an over glaze of paint. I think this book is a very good book for ages 3 to 7.
