The Twelve Dancing Princesses

Isadora, Rachel. The Twelve Dancing Princesses. New York: Putnam, 2007. ISBN: 978-0-399-24744-6.

There were 12 beautiful princesses. The princesses were locked into a room. The Princesses' father, the king, wanted to know why their shoes looked like they danced all night. A prince came along to figure out why. So the prince went to an older woman and she gave him advice about what not to do. When he found out what was going on he told the king. I think that it was a good story because the pictures went along with the story and it had good use of words. The age I recommend this story for is a 2nd-3rd grader.
