Mama and Little Joe is a fictional book about a mom and baby kangaroo. I think it is sad. The baby kangaroo's mom had to work for the animals and she got so tired that she couldn't walk. I like the illustrations, but the camel should look nice, not mean. I like the polar bear. My favorite part is when all the animals help Joe get out of the trash. I think it is nice. I would recommend this book to my friend in first grade.
