Our Liberty Bell

Magaziner, Henry Jonas. Our Liberty Bell. New York: Holiday House, 2007. ISBN: 978-0-8234-1892-3.

This theatrical book introduces young readers to the history of Our Liberty Bell which is also the title. It shows how the Liberty Bell got its name and how the civil rights movment, abolitionists, and women used it as a symbol of liberty. It was great how the author described how the great liberty bell was cracked from the bell ringer ringing it too much. I would positively recommend this book to all readers. My opinion on Our Liberty Bell is it's theatrical and very descriptive. I would definitely recommend it for readers between the ages of 8 and 13 because it's funny yet meaningful at the same time. It's a comical book when at times you will laugh, cry, and dance.
