This is a true story about Emi, a Sumatran rhino, which is the rarest species of rhino. Emi has faced many problems in her life. The story tells about Emi and the people who take care of her. Mary Kay Carson really captures the problems that these rare rhinos have to overcome. The photography always gives a good visual image of what is going on in the book. Overall, I enjoyed this book. I recommend this book to anybody that likes animals and is between grades 5 and 8.
