Rita and Whatsit

The book Rita and Whatsit is about a girl named Rita who was in a bad mood. Eventually she received small, medium, and large presents. One of the boxes was jumping and there was a dog inside. Rita made a snack for the dog and the dog was hiding. Rita and the dog were not getting along. She called the dog Whatsit and they became friends. Rita and Whatsit play games and have lots of fun! The illustrator uses the color orange to decorate the pictures. My favorite part in the book Rita and Whatsit is when Rita mops the dog and smoothes him out. I think it is funny to see Rita wash the dog. I also liked the part when Rita and Whatsit become friends because she gave the dog a name. I would recommend Rita and Whatsit to my sister because my sister likes dogs and would think this book was funny.
