Snyder, Laurel. Inside the Slidy Diner. Tricycle Press; 2008. ISBN: 9781582461878
This story is about a girl that stole a lemon drop out of a box behind a counter at a diner and she ends up getting stuck there. It is a very gross diner. There are bugs climbing out of food and animals running wild. Plus, there is an old lady that works there named Ethlemae, and she serves things that were on the ground. I think the art is very, very detailed in the background of the pictures. This is a very good book. My favorite part was when Ethelmae picks up the roll and serves it to people. I would recommend this book for children from the ages of 7-12 years old.
