Napoli, Donna Jo and Tchen, Richard. Corkscrew Counts. Henry Holt and Company: 2008.
ISBN: 9780805076646.
Corkscrew Counts is a story about Corkscrew's first birthday party. Twelve kids want to play a game at the party. First they try to play solitaire, but Corkscrew and Pirate mess it up. Then they play all sorts of other games, but Corkscrew and Pirated keep messing them up. They want to play Frisbee but they need 14 to play. Corkscrew and Pirate join in to make 14! The illustrations are very cool, incredible, very realistic and beautiful! My favorite part of the book is when Corkscrew got tangled in the volleyball net. That part is funny! I think little kids would like this great book because it is funny!
