Kimmelman, Leslie. The Little Red Hen and The Passover Matzah. Illustrated by Paul Meisel. Holiday House. 2010. ISBN:978-0-8234-1952-4.
The book The Little Red Hen and the Passover Matzah is about a Jewish hen who plans to get ready for the Passover. The hen needs help with making the Matzah and asks her friends for help, but they don't help at all. The hen had to do all the work. I liked this book because it tells about the hard work Jewish families go through to get ready for seder meal. I read this book to my little sister, and she enjoyed the book as well. The artwork looks like it is painted. I like the way the different colors of paint come together. People who would enjoy this story would be the lower grades like 1st through 3rd grades. This book is good to tell about the Passover meal and Jewish traditions.
