This is a non-fiction book about a girl named Kate and her horse Cocoa. Cocoa doesn't want Kate to go to school, and when Kate got off the bus with a new friend, Cocoa thought Kate would forget about him. Betsy Lewin water painted the pictures. They were very colorful and I liked them very much. My favorite part is when Kate and Cocoa play tag in the yard. The Pink Refrigerator
Egan, Tim. The Pink Refrigerator. Houghton Mifflin Company: 2007. ISBN: 9780618631544. Ages: 6 to 11.
My story is about an ant-eater who's life is really boring. One day, he went to a junk-yard and found a pink refrigerator that had a note that said to take pictures. So he opened the fridge and saw a camera, so he took pictures!! And every day he went back and found a new note. But one day he went back and he found a note that said "keep exploring," and he opened the fridge and saw nothing. He was so mad, he kicked it and the note flew away. He got the magnet off and wrote a note that said "went to find an ocean." The drawings were really good, plain, and fun to look at. He also used a lot of strange colors. The sidewalks were purple! In every picture, there are a lot of details. I really liked this book and I think that kids in elementary school will like it because it is very exciting and adventurous. If you read this book, you will not want to stop!!!!
