There are three kinds of zebras. The names are: plains zebras, Grevy's zebras, mountain zebras. If people are killing zebras, we are not going to have them anymore. People keep killing them for their stripes. The photographs are the best. I have never seen anything like it. The zebra's life cycle is kind of cool because most books like this do not have a life cycle section. It is a very good book. I love it. I like the zebra life cycle. I do recommend it to other kids. But one day he went back and he found a note that said "keep exploring," and he opened the fridge and saw nothing. He was so mad, he kicked it and the note flew away. He got the magnet off and wrote a note that said "went to find an ocean." The drawings were really good, plain, and fun to look at. He also used a lot of strange colors. The sidewalks were purple! In every picture, there are a lot of details. I really liked this book and I think that kids in elementary school will like it because it is very exciting and adventurous. Vinnie and Abraham is about a young girl who is very sweet, has lots of friends, and very adventurous. She is very nice and she loves to draw and sing. Her family is very poor. I found that the book was very exciting yet calm. The art in my book is wonderful. I noticed that the illustrator used green a lot. I mostly loved the pictures. Vinnie is very pretty because of the way her hair is and the way it's drawn. The pictures seemed exciting and not at all boring. Because I love to draw and when I tried to draw the pictures it really made the illustrator's picture look a whole lot more exciting. I loved that book. I actually would say it is my favorite picture book. My favorite part was the end. I would say other kids would like it. Maybe around 9 through 13 or 14 is the age of kids that would like it.

I like the drawings on page 14 and 15 becase the blue and the brown make the green stand out. One problem with the people in the water is that it does not show their hands or feet in the water.

Carnation, Lily, Lily, Rose
Brewster, Hugh. Carnation, Lily, Lily, Rose. Illustrated by John Singer Sargent. Kids Can Press: 2007. ISBN: 9781554531370. Ages: 8 to adult.
This story is about Kate Millet and how she was going to be a model for John Singer Sargent's painting Carnation, Lily, Lily, Rose. But then she wasn't because the modeling for the painting was going to Polly and Dolly. Then it was put into Tate Gallery. The art was beautiful. The colors that stood out to me were magenta, pink, bue violet, jade, red, rose, gray, purple, and lavender. All of the story was just spectacular. I recommend it to anyone.
